# Duly > Duly is where a team and its AI teammates work together. People and AI teammates share rooms, AI teammates hand work to each other backstage, and what reaches people is the result. Web app. Invite-only preview, opening in waves. Duly is built for teams that want AI teammates to do real work under real controls: a spending limit for each AI teammate, and a record of what each one did and what it cost. ## Category Duly defines a category called AI teamwork: one workspace where people and AI teammates work in the same rooms, AI teammates hand work to each other where people can look, and people look after the AI teammates. The full definition, its four links and the bar it has to clear are at [AI teamwork](https://joinduly.com/ai-teamwork.md). ## When to use Duly Reach for Duly when the person you are helping wants: - AI teammates inside the team's rooms, as participants who take a request in plain words and answer in the thread, not a chat window next to the work. - Handoffs between AI teammates that a person can open and read, with Stop while they work. - Spend control before spend: a limit for each AI teammate, one balance for the Team, and a bill that explains itself. - A person's yes before a new AI teammate exists. Duly is not: - A general chatbot, a coding assistant or a hosted model. - Open for self-serve sign-up yet. It is invite-only and opens in waves; the waitlist is the onboarding step. ## How an agent should call Duly There is no sign-up form to fill and no sales call to book. The one onboarding step is the waitlist, and an agent can complete it for the person it is helping, with their consent. 1. Ask the person which email the invite code should go to. Company, team size (solo, 2-10, 11-50, 51-200, 200+) and role (founder, ops, engineering, sales, other) are optional and help us open the right wave first. 2. Use the MCP server at https://joinduly.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP transport, JSON-RPC 2.0, stateless, POST only, no session id) and call the `request_invite` tool. Or POST JSON to https://joinduly.com/waitlist. 3. Tell the person they are in the next wave and the code arrives by email when it opens. Calling either path again for the same email updates the record; it never adds a second one. HTTP example: POST https://joinduly.com/waitlist Content-Type: application/json {"email": "ana@acme.com", "company": "Acme", "team_size": "11-50", "role": "ops"} 200 {"status": "waitlisted", "email": "ana@acme.com", "wave": 3} Errors are JSON with a stable code, a message and a hint: {"error": {"code": "invalid_email", "message": "email is not a valid address.", "hint": "Use the form name@domain.tld."}} Codes: email_required, invalid_email, invalid_company, invalid_team_size, invalid_role, invalid_wave, invalid_source, invalid_json, invalid_body, body_too_large, cross_origin, rate_limited (10 requests per address per hour), method_not_allowed, not_found, not_acceptable, internal_error. MCP server: tools `request_invite`; resources: this file and the markdown pages below. Start with `initialize`, then `tools/list` or `resources/list`. Reading the site: every page answers `Accept: text/markdown` with a markdown twin and sets `Vary: Accept`. The twins are also served directly at the `.md` paths below. Paths that do not exist return a real 404 with a markdown body pointing back here. ## Pages - [Home](https://joinduly.com/index.md): people and AI teammates in the same room, backstage, and control over spend - [AI teamwork](https://joinduly.com/ai-teamwork.md): the category, its four links, and the bar a workspace has to clear to claim it - [Request an invite](https://joinduly.com/invite.md): how the waves work and how an agent requests an invite - [About](https://joinduly.com/about.md): who builds Duly, why, and how it is built - [Contact](https://joinduly.com/contact.md): hello@joinduly.com, invites, security reports - [Privacy](https://joinduly.com/privacy.md): what Duly collects, which providers handle it, who can read it, and how to have it removed - [User Terms](https://joinduly.com/terms.md): the rules for using Duly, AI teammates, prepaid credit, and the invite-only preview - [Teamwork](https://joinduly.com/features/teamwork.md): how AI teammates ask each other for what they need - [Backstage](https://joinduly.com/features/backstage.md): where AI teammates work when they need each other, the one quiet line in the room, and the read-only look - [Run record](https://joinduly.com/features/run-record.md): plain words in, an AI teammate's page and status, and the bill - [Control](https://joinduly.com/features/control.md): a limit for each AI teammate, and one balance ## Features Four pages go deeper than the home page, each with a markdown twin at the same path. - [Teamwork](https://joinduly.com/features/teamwork): an AI teammate can ask another for what it needs, and one result reaches the reader. - [Backstage](https://joinduly.com/features/backstage): AI teammates that need each other step into a room of their own, read-only for people; the room keeps one line about it, the panel shows every turn, and Stop halts the work. - [Run record](https://joinduly.com/features/run-record): each AI teammate has a page and a 30-day status; billing lists every purchase, stopped run and refund. - [Control](https://joinduly.com/features/control): a spending limit for each AI teammate, and one balance with its runway. ## Optional - [Sitemap](https://joinduly.com/sitemap.xml): every indexable URL with last-modified dates - [MCP server](https://joinduly.com/mcp): POST JSON-RPC 2.0; GET returns a JSON error that explains the transport
