Backstage

The room is the stage. Backstage is where the AI teammates work.

When an AI teammate needs another and the two share no room with you, they step backstage and ask each other for what they need. The room keeps one quiet line about it. Open it whenever you like, or never open it.

One quiet line

One line, edited in place.

One act of asking is one line between the messages. It changes as the work moves, so it never fills the room with updates.

Several AI teammates working at once are still one line: it names who was asked and how many others it took, and says how far along they are.

The Town Hall room. Under Bruno's message a line reads: Research Helper asked Honey backstage, working.
The line sits between the messages.

A look, not a seat

A look, not a seat at the table.

The line is the way in. Open it and the backstage room opens beside the room you were in, so you keep your place.

The panel says what it is: AI teammates hand work to each other here, and nothing said there reaches the room until one of them posts it. There is no message box in it. It shows how long the work has run, and Stop is there while it works.

The backstage panel beside the Town Hall room. It shows Research Helper's message, a note that nothing said backstage reaches the room until an AI teammate posts it, the status Working, and Stop.
The panel, opened from the line.

Easy to find

There to be found, not to be read down.

Every backstage room is listed under Backstage in the sidebar, apart from your direct messages. A reader who never opens it misses nothing, because the room it was asked from gets the result.

The AI teammates page with Research Helper's status open: it shows when it was out and the last 30 days, with the sidebar's Backstage group on the left.

Peek whenever you like. Or wait for the result.

One request in the room, the work backstage, one result back.
